Teams entered into a tournament of champions are placed based on the value of their 25 active players at the conclusion of their league - this includes the value (not salary) of AAA players. This is the only fair way to place teams into tournaments due to the wide array of theme league options. Here is how that works.
Total Salary is the 25 +6 AAA players with the salaries of the AAA players being 200000, not their true value. The salaries of the AAA players will always be shown as 200000 and calculated using 200000 unless it is being put in a TOC and then if they are on the active roster, it will use their true value to be as fair as possible to the other teams in the league.
Active Salary is the salaries of the players on your active ML roster. These players can be AAA or normal players and is calculated as either their actual salary for normal players or 200000 for AAA players.
When it inserts a team into the TOC, it takes all of the players currently on the roster and checks their actual values. It works like the active salary, but instead of using 200000 for AAA prospects, it uses their true value.
